Masters in Osteopathy

Jeannie wanted to be an Osteopath since the age of 14. She first studied Anatomy, Physiology and Genetics, which complimented her later Osteopathic studies and her passion for the human body and finding the health within. Since becoming a Mum, she began studying osteopathy in pregnancy, babies and children. She is also fascinated with how Osteopathy can influence disease processes and is continually learning about vitamin/mineral supplementation and natural medicine. Now, as a working Mum of three, she is finding that her passion for Osteopathy blends well with a career that is child friendly. Striving to be a good Osteopath helps her strive to be a good Mum.

Daniel Garelja

Osteopath

BAppSci Human Biology

Masters in Osteopathy

After growing up in West Auckland, Daniel was keen to come back to his roots and practice Osteopathy. He has a strong background in structural techniques, but is always curious and keen on learning new techniques. When Daniel is not working, he is helping out on the family farm in Kumeu, or taking up his foil and practicing his fencing. Daniel is the top ranked fencer in New Zealand and is interested in sports of all kinds. His interest in Osteopathy grew following a fencing injury that an osteopath helped where others struggled. He likes Osteopathy because of the range of techniques that can be used for people of all ages and how it can offer a solution unique to everyone no matter their condition.

Hi, I’m VĂctor, originally from Spain and trained at Swansea University, UK. As a lifelong martial artist and sports lover, my primary interest revolves around sports osteopathy. However, I enjoy treating patients from all different backgrounds and have recently developed an interest in the management of chronic pain with special attention to all its associated factors. I am keen to do further research into these two areas.
To give you a little insight into my personality, I am naturally a happy person, my current hobbies include rugby and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, which I am currently a brown belt in and have acquired the grade of Sensei. I enjoy playing guitar and reading, and my guilty pleasure is video games. I am an adventurer by nature, who loves travelling and experiencing new things. I have visited and lived in several countries throughout my life, including America, Ireland, and Wales where I studied for my Osteopathy Master’s degree. I consider that every part of the world has something different to offer and New Zealand has always been at the top of the list regarding beautiful countries to experience, so when the opportunity to come work here appeared, I made sure to not let go of it!

Masters in Osteopathy

Hi, I’m Lucas. I live in west Auckland with my wife and two children, and love it out here.
I completed my osteopathic training at Unitec just over a year ago, and have recently finished my master’s thesis on the links between sleep disturbance and Alzheimer’s Disease.
I am very passionate about all things regarding natural health, such as sports and exercise, good food and cooking, positive friendships and relationships, community and camaraderie. I particularly enjoy surfing and martial arts, and have been engaged in both for many years.
I’m passionate about using my osteopathic skills to improve people’s pain and dysfunction, with the aim to get them back on the feet and in control of their own health. I like to work in a way that supports a patient’s recovery, while working towards providing people with their own tools for self-management and injury prevention.
I’m a people person, and for me a big highlight of being an osteopath is meeting interesting people, hearing their stories, and piecing together management plans specific to their unique lives.
I look forward to seeing you in the clinic!
Kind regards,
Lucas.
